ChenSliders #2 a gamble in time is ready.. Also TrekWho 3 - crash on avalon has been finished too. I've posted a new review for Star Trek Countdown, a prequel to the new reimagined Star Trek Movie.

I'm writing a new fanfic in my TrekWho Star Trek / Doctor Who amalgam universe series. I had written the first two and the last (plus a prequel), however I decided to write a new fic. Meanwhile you could reread the old TrekWho Series fics here.

America's SciFi Channel has renamed itself the Syfy Channel, funny as it might sound. Last month, Webmaster and news editor Michael Hinman sold off his SyFy Portal brandname to an undisclosed source, and earlier today that source was revealed to be NBCU. For more about this story you can read this.

Forgot to post the conclusion here, though it's been written for more than a month now. lol.. WhoSliders #29 concludes the "Rose's WhoSliders" KeyQuest saga featuring old and new friends and sliders alike.. even Fox Mulder!
And now a new series started too.. AlphaGate #1 and AlphaGate #2 are ready.. imagine a different Space:1999 within the Stargate & Doctor Who universe.. some things are similar others are plain different!
Anyway, Happy New Year to all my readers!

Popular actor Don S. Davis, who is best known for his role as Major General George Hammond in Stargate SG-1, as well as other appearances such as Scully's father in X-Files, passed away last Sunday from a massive heart attack at the age of 65.

WhoSliders#19 and WhoSliders#20 are ready! They form the first parts of my new Rose's Sliders / torchwood fanfic series!
WhoSliders#18 is ready for you to read! It's a 10th Doctor/Stargate Atlantis crossover fic.
Some story ideas brewing in my head right now: a Torchwood fic called 'The Woman Who Ran Away' and a Dr Who fic called 'You Could Be Here' about a popular British tv show presented by who else, Terry Wogan! In it Terry tries to solve people's problems.
A short original story of mine (in Maltese), Il-Kavallier Li Ma Setghax Imut (The Knight Who Could Not Die), will be read on RTK radio on Friday 26th January 2007 during the programme called Rakkont at 12.30pm (it will be the second story). So listen in and enjoy!
WhoSliders#17 is ready. I'm writing #18 and #19 which feature the Tenth Doctor and Rose respectively. The latter introduces a whole new WHOSLIDERS team lead by Rose Tyler.

I finished writing WhoSliders#15 which includes Stargate SG-1 (both present and future), Daleks in Roswell as well as Hindle's return to the Doctor's team of Sliders.. with a touch of a Max and Liz shippy moment from Roswell too. Hope you like it!
Is Janus in "Before I Sleep" (Stargate Atlantis) the "One" from Doctor Who? They are very similar...
WhoSliders 9 has been updated. Some minor fixes having to do with Gallifrey after I began reading THE GALLIFREY CHRONICLES. I never believed Gallifrey had been "unhappened" even if the BBC Books editor had said that. Lance Parkin's book makes it clear there's no 'unhappening'. I have also added a reference to the book.
WhoSliders 4 and WhoSliders 7 have been updated after I watched "Before I Sleep" (Stargate Atlantis).
The latter episode gives a date of 8000BC for the Ancients experimenting with time travel in the Pegasus Galaxy, so it must predate Gallifrey (though Gallifrey is likely to be in the past, since they travelled through time and space to get there, so there's no problem there)....
I updated my first fanfic (Dr Who and the X-Men) since the MSTified version included a BAD WOLF reference! I just found this out. So I reincorporated the reference into the MetaMiST (part 9). This must be the Earliest Bad Wolf Doctor Who reference anywhere! Fantastic, as CE would say.
Who/Sliders Series Ep#7 - The Early Days updated to include a reference to the flying city of the Ancients ie Atlantis (based upon Stargate Atlantis' first episode). I plan to expand upon the Doctor's past connections and the Ancients. Some minor edits in other fics eg WhoSliders 8.
I just read that Stargate SG-1 will be changing their own timeline! Seems like they are learning from the Doctor, after all... Would that mean that my fics with SG-1 will be 'affected'? It depends on whether the 'new' SG-1 timeline will remain the canonical one or will they just press the big red reset button? Looks like they are also introducing an Avalon/Excalibur/King Arthur/Merlin theme (I can just see the 7th Doctor almost guest starring). Merlin is an Ancient, in my fanfics Gallifreyans are Ancients, and the Doctor was Merlin (Battlefield Earth) so it doesn't jar with my fics at all!
Interesting Quote 1: "Our psychometric computer analyses have shown that in the near future, Gallifreyan society will cease to exist, as a result of the increasing conflicts between the two races on Gallifrey...." (Gallifreyans and Vulcans) "Then the blow to the Federation would result in an attempted take-over by a race called the Dalek Dominion" (Spock in my alternate TREKWHO universe fanfic Spock's Destiny)
The New series: I haven't seen it on tv yet (it's not on here) but I have read many reviews and posts about it and it is fun to read into those few lines as being foreshadowing of how the Daleks will be responsible for the destruction of Gallifrey (yes I have read that..) rather than the Doctor himself as in the BBC novels. They had the most interest so that's why I wrote that back in 2002.
I updated my "The Ninth Doctor" fanfic to include a connection to the current tv 9th Doctor (Christopher Eccleston). There's a connection to a WhoSliders story too but the story can be read as a standalone.

Interesting Quote 2: "The Doctor also convinced the Stargate SG-1 team to destroy the machine, lest some other evil civilisation such as the daleks take over the device." (written in 2001) The machine had created a time loop of a day as seen in the Stargate episode WINDOW OF OPPORTUNITY. My theory/fanfic explanation is this. The Daleks could have used a similar machine left by the Ancients/Gallifreyans on some old colony planet to erase most of the history of the Time Lords. And the Doctor managed to emit an anti-tachyonic beam as in WHOSLIDERS 4, which triggered a time loop instead of a permanent change of history. Thus, very soon time will revert to the point when the last Time War began... which should prove interesting! I would very happy if RTD uses a similar explanation!
